July Update!
Its been quite a month, hectic, so no individual blogs, just a rolled up account of the month!!
Kicked off the month, celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary! Well its certainly been quite a journey & we're both looking forward to a few more!
Went to Barcelona, Spain for a short break (4 days) & that was fantastic! It was a combo of relaxation (beach & poolside) and sightseeing! Beautiful hot weather (30+) each day! The resort we stayed at was impressive, right on the beach, amazing food, funky modern rooms with lots of gadgets, so it was hard tearing ourselves away to go & do the many tourist things on offer.
We concentrated on the architecture side of things this holiday & focused on the amazing Gaudi buildings (La Pedrera) & parks (Parc Guell), as well as the many cathedrals of Barcelona. It was awe inspiring! I like the quote Gaudi gave when designing & starting the build on the famous La Sagrada Familia (cathedral). When asked that this cathedral was going to take decades to build, past his lifetime, he said, "God is in no hurry". Its a nice philosophy to adopt!
Strolled the Las Ramblas, El Born & Barri Gotic (Gothic quarter) which still has some Roman ruins.
July, also saw me get another year older, none the wiser, and the realisation of how much I dont know and havent seen. Its like New Yrs resolution for other people, my bday tends to remind me of all the things I should be doing more of - reading, exercising, eating healthy, travelling, learning etc etc Well here's hoping!!

As an Abba fan, it was a treat watching Mamma Mia! The good olde songs & very nicely adapted into a movie! That was fun! I kept humming Abba songs for days after!
Formula1 this month has also been extremely exciting with Silverstone & Germany. Some really good races, seeing Lewis do real well & Weber being Weber! (I think he's cursed!) Ferrari need to pick up!! Lets see how the 2nd half of the season pans out...
Well thats it for me for now, another packed month coming up, but more on that later. As soon as David gets his act together, there's plenty of photos that need uploading!
